Hi, Woody,

had the same experience… But my dealer gave me a 10A i.e. 2.3 kW „Cable“ while the original is 13A / 3 kW. This quite a difference in charging time and leads to a greater energy loss.

Did you get a true 13 A replacement?
Quite difference for better or worse? Which cable has greater energy loss?

Hello Mateusz,
Yes, they took it out of a car from the showroom, so it’s the same.

I think you talk about different things, one talks about normal type 2- 230 v cable from wall charger, the other talks about 13A / 3 kW "grandma" charger, right ??

The Service Bulletin shall be issued around mid April and the change of the driveshaft shall be possible to do starting with end of April, they have to get the parts on stock before calling the Mazda customers for replacement.
I know of two owners that have now had their driveshafts replaced. That didn´t work either, still as bad as before.

My cable which was replaced and solved the problem is a cable/charging device from Mennekes “my power connection” 13 amp. / 230V - color blue. In Holland it is the cable that is delivered with the car.

Wrong, don´t forget where i live and where Mazda EU is based. As said, two cars have been done over here and it didn´t work.
Maybe so, i have done 2 driveshafts replaced already, both faulty, now waiting for the new version to arrive 10. may -

The wireless charger issue appears to me to be a practical design challenge that can’t easily be resolved.

I use a standard wireless charger at home, and I must place my I-Phone 12 over it dead centre for it to charge. Any offset, and it won’t charge. My wife has no end of trouble with it as she expects it to work with her smaller phone when it is plonked down at any angle. This isn’t an issue exclusive to a Mazda CX60!

The phone charging tray for the Mazda is larger than my personal phone, and much larger than her older phone model, again, she has more issues. It is patently designed to accommodate even larger phone models. This means that if the car bounces over a large obstacle, smaller phones will slide off centre, and that produces the ‘wireless charging not available’ message until repositioned.

In my former Mercedes, the phones would sit orientated in a portrait shaped slot rather than landscape, and upon a rubber mat offering greater friction (it was almost like sticky table tennis bat rubber technology), and was less prone to this problem, but it did occur. One solution in the Mazda is easier. Simply use a charging cable In the centre console box. However, now that I have thought of it, I might cut a rectangle of old ‘sticky’ high friction table tennis bat black rubber and see if it’s a viable DIY fix.
Hello all,

About the vibrations felt between 45-70 km/h range and the afferent throbbing noise (like you would drive the car with a back window open at high speed): I went to the dealer and they tried to reposition the shaft, rotate it or whatever... it did not worked and the vibrations are still there.

So, I wrote again to Mazda and received yesterday an official confirmation: none of the intermediary solutions work (reposition and rotate the drive shaft) so Mazda will issue a Service Bulletin for replacing the driveshaft. The Service Bulletin shall be issued around mid April and the change of the driveshaft shall be possible to do starting with end of April, they have to get the parts on stock before calling the Mazda customers for replacement.

Mazda did not say anything about the time required for the change but I guess it wont last more than a day.

If you have other feedback from your dealers, please share it.

Hi, I got my Takumi at the beginning of November and reading all this issues I feel scary. I experienced only two issues, the gas tank venting that does not allow to fill it totally up and the wireless charger which I solved with a Magsafe cable with a 20W adapter and the cable of the Magsafe cut short so it will not hang out of the cavity meant for the phone. I think something is wrong with the rear suspension as the car jumps when going over speed limiters. The assist controls are somewhat too sensitive as well in my opinion. The car venting was supposed to be solved with a software update but nothing improved. Regarding the consumption and range I have read in this forum very disappointing values however my experience is quite good, in electric only I had from 55 up to 69 kms (tire pressure is key) and on long trips with depleted battery around 7,5 -7,7 l/100. I leave in Portugal and travel a lot in Spain. Speed controls is a great business for the communities so is better not to exceed 120-125 km/h.
I am quite happy with the car and my decision to buy a Japanese car was reliability. Time will tell.
Cheers

Hi, probably I didn't followed the posting correctly. The driveshaft issue shows up with some vibration or they just broke?

Between 50-70km/h you can hear a low nois, like you were driving with a back window slightly opened. It is connected ( for few yousers who can feel it) with delicate vibrations of the car - when you look for them you will feel them. It does not depend on the mode you are driving or the electric or petrol engine.

Thank you, will be attentive.

Has anyone changed the engine oil yet?
I have almost 9000 km and the car said that an oil change is necessary after 900 km.

of the 9000 km, I have approx. 2500 in EV mode.

it seems quite a few km to me.

Does anyone have experience with this?

An error has been reported in the algorithm that calculates the service interval, an update is being worked on, your dealer should have been notified, until it is fixed you must count on the max. 20,000 km or 1 year (whichever comes first) which is probably also listed in your owner's manual.

Great. Thank you for the information.

So far I know it should be every 15.000 unless the oil got contaminated somehow or a sensor is faulty. The dealer should know better and the guarantee should cover for anything the car needs outside the service intervals.

I've only done 2419 miles (3893km) and it claims service is due in 4600 miles (7402km). so a total of 7019 miles (11295km) for first service - which is not acceptable. Thanks for making me check - I will be talking to my dealer.
Can someone point me to the official figures please?
