Does anyone have problem with Driver Personalisation System, which you can't select your name and stuck with guest mode? I'm having this occassional issue these past days where I can't choose my name(greyed out) when I start the vehicle, and Guest mode is chosen by default.
The car needs to off completely to change the DPS user. So if it doesnt recognise me and i start the car, even to IGN 1 , my name goes greyed out and I have to turn off entirely and go into the DPS menu to re-choose my name. Its really annoying even more so than having to press the Autohold button every time I get in the car!

Yes of course :) dont know when it happens, car definitely in park. You have to go to driver pers. Settings in the menu and select it manually.

I wonder if the recall software update is causing these issues. I never had this previously, only after this recall is done. And I'm booked in next week with the following issues. Hopefully they check all these issues for my CX60 (seems these all are common issues) and do a PQI

You've probably noticed from the FB group, some of those issues have been much improved upon like the random acceleration, so hopefully you'll get a few things sorted when its in. They will do a reprogramming on MDARS for a lot of it, so it should be a 'fresh' install for want of a better phrase.

Since the recall, I've gained a few additional issues too, but could just be circumstantial.

Boot randomly opening is a major fear of mine as its happened loads, and as you've found, theres no 'upwards blockage' sensor, so it carries on into whatever is there when it opens randomly. Im potentially moving into a house soon with a low garage roof, terrified of waking up to a dented tailgate!

It is a bit quirky but I've always found a way .
I am going to set up the keyfob memory button on the dash as that may be quicker than messing about with menus.

It happened to me a few times, but each time it happened I had the key fob in my hand while doing something else with this hand.
My conclusion was that, inadvertently, the button for opening the tailgate was pressed on the fob.

There is also a documented way to learn the CX-60 how high its tailgate is allowed to be opened.

I wish that was the case for me, I keep my key in a Faraday box five stories up from where my car is. Multiple times it's opened itself overnight on the driveway!

I'll have a look in the manual about the height setting - that might be really useful, thanks!

Just to make sure I am not the only one: my phev very randomly (like once every two weeks) totally looses propulsion after taking off from a standstill (intersection, trafic light). It takes off for about 5 meters absolutely normal then all of the sudden it feels lime crashing into a wall. Then i let go off the thottle and step on it again and off we go. Besides all the noise coming from the gearbox and the shitty gearchanges this is something that worries me most. I am afraid to either get rear ended or even t-boned at an intersection.

Gearbox was already recalibrated two time. But since the last time it seems worse than before.

Phev, 10k km on the clock.

So I've got my CX60 back after service yesterday.
  • Was told they have done a recall update regarding 12v yesterday which I didn't had the issue.
  • Driver side mirror wobling, they don't have a TSB for fix. But they did report it to Mazda system.
  • Occassional Windscreen fluid warning, the only fix is to keep the fluid filled upto the neck. If the level goes below the neck, sensor has a problem detecting the level as the water moves inside the tank.

one thing they told me is, if only more people report these issues to Mazda, they release a TSB for fix.

I thought the mirror had a TSB for it? but its not a particularly good one. Mine wobbles as well, but least of my problems at the moment (as you saw from my recent post!)

My windscreen washer light never happens you know? and Ive already filled it up from empty twice..so not sure if its a sensor placement issue rather than a potential faulty sensor?

There is only low windscreen washer when I entering garage that is downhill and car is facing front. Only when on a very steep hill and I have to be there waiting gate to open. When I park in garage the light dissappear. Hope this help

I thought I had the washer fluid warning problem - but turned out they just hadn't filled it at PDI. Even though fluid level doesn't look low (below the neck but clearly still some in there), it took 3-4 litres to fill to top of the neck.

Fill it up (close to top of neck) and see if the warning goes away. Seems to then last me a while before the next warning and a top up (which again took several litres).

Not sure, they don't much details on the reason. They said they did report to Mazda and refilling to the neck solved the issue.
