Hi All,

I have owned my CX-60 now for a three weeks. There is an issue of the car consuming too much electricity and the range is about the half of the expected maximum range. The electricity consumption should be 17 kWh in average and in my case it is 40 kWh. I have a service check-up with software updates next week and let´s see if the electricity consumption problem will be fixed. I am also expecting the shock absorbers to be replaced at some point.
Did you get the shock absorbers changed, my dealer won't do it, thanks

The car goes up and down really weird. I noticed that two weeks ago because I had the proper road, uneven one and in waves. I remembered about this forum and said to check if something new is on the thread. Last week I went for a trip with a friend and asked him to film me from behind and it is really noticeable outside of the car also.

I went to the dealer, confirmed yesterday and now we have to wait for the shock absorbers to be replaced. It is probably the first batch. I pre-ordered mine on 10th of March. So I am sure I am one in that batch.

I also was contacted by the dealer, and Mazda says that they want to add a logger to my ODB, to see what is happening, there is another issue that I signaled with a noise between gear 1 and 2. There are other reports of this from other few clients.

The fact that Mazda takes this actions, it's something that keeps my worries down. It is, the first iteration of the car. But if they fix this I can understand the first model issues. In the end I love the car, I cancelled another order for this car. I like it and hope soon it will have these issues solved.
did u get the shocks changed, my dealer won't do it in uk.

Well they agreed to upgrade suspension asap. Pretty much everything else they are waiting on Mazda to advise. Onboard diagnostics failed to show anything. Also got some BS about the 12 volt battery that made no sense on the phone. Picking car up tomorrow so will quiz a bit harder.
Did you get the new shocks, my garage in uk won't fit them.

Did you get the new shocks, my garage in uk wont
Yes ages ago. Not sure exactly what was changed but certainly roll bars ,alignment and shocks(?). Made a big difference. I'm led to believe the dealer paid! May be wrong on that. Its going back again next week to have the recall, boot catch and sound deadening!
Hopeful the drive shaft may be done. I know some Mazda engineers visited the dealer recently and the list of issues on my car and the failed fixes from this forum were discussed. I had written it all out. Dealer frustrated at lack of detailed input from Mazda.
I have to say my Dealer is pretty good with me and I'm not getting a brush off like some seem to be. I tend to present detailed facts and ranting is not my style, maybe that helps a good relationship (+ we have had 20 cars from them over the years ;) ).

Hello, can you tell me, where did you find this information? I would like to show it to my dealer, which has refused to change the suspension..

Thank you very much. Is there a page that lists all the TSBs? I would show it to my dealer. I was there yesterday for a convocation. I asked them to replace the shock absorbers and I also asked them to solve the sound like a squeal, which is heard at about 50 km/h. They told me that there is no action to replace the shock absorbers, just as there is no action to address the rear door insulation. Furthermore, they have not reported that there should be any other problems with the car.

That might be true, depends entirely on date of production identified by your VIN number. My PHEV was prior resolved at the factory. My dealer has willingly replaced shocks and improved insulation on early production models that needed it. Mine doesn’t.

I’m not aware of a page listing them all. But thanks to kind folk here (in particular ASH who works for Mazda) we have quite a lot of official information on recalls & TSB’s. I’ve found the one for the door dampening and attached here.

Usually my transmission shifts ok-ish, a bit too noticeable for my taste, but rarely (it happened maybe 10-20 times till now) it shifts with a strong kick or in a couple cases even with a loud "thud" felt and heard through the chasis. It reminds me of my failed shifts on a manual when I was learning to drive.

Also, most of the times when going to the 6th, there is a specific sound that I hear, like a "vjiiiuuut"

Can anyone confirm that there is something that can be done in these cases? A software update for the gearbox, or an adaptation/learning procedure the dealer can perform?

I am in uk, i have had all those problems and more, dealer not interested and makes excuses. I will be handing it back next week and have got a ford phev instead. Mine was on a motability lease so i can give it back, if i had paid for it i would be livd.

Looking at the Motability site, there's a significant upfront payment. Did you get it refunded?

Hello, the "whoooopppp" sound when shifting from 5 to 6 I have it also. The RO dealer said that, for the moment, there is no fix for the sound to dissapear. But, since this is not a severe fault (that makes the car not fit to use), probably they won't do nothing. I personally dont have a problem with it .... :)

"with a strong kick or in a couple cases even with a loud "thud" felt and heard through the chasis" - this happens when you are in EV and taking off the foot from the gas pedal ?

It happened too few times to be certain, but as I recall, it happened around the coasting part, so I was either accelerating slightly or decelerating slightly. And I'm pretty sure it was on both ev and gas.

The adaptation/learning for the gears can be done and has been done by my dealer and it helps.
Not that it will give you always a smooth transition between gears, but there is much less abrupt shifting and for me it was a great difference

I get this very occasionally
Its when I'm going from slight deceleration to acceleration and the gearbox seems to get caught out in two minds. Is pretty rare though. In 200 miles yesterday of mixed type of driving with lots of speed variation it happened twice. Once on cruise control and once manual.

Does anyone have problem with Driver Personalisation System, which you can't select your name and stuck with guest mode? I'm having this occassional issue these past days where I can't choose my name(greyed out) when I start the vehicle, and Guest mode is chosen by default.
