I have no clue, I wouldn’t even know how to check to be honest.
All I know is that it was literally the showroom model.
Basically it was sh. It was used by the dealer for a test drive. It was not 0 km. In this case, it was the dealer's decision, not Mazda's. I'm curious about the NX 450h+. Like the RAV4 plug-in, it had recalls. And they have very long delivery times, not to mention the price difference. Success

Hi Frank,
We have rejected ours after a total nightmare.
We owned the vehicle for 28 days, 14 of which it was back at the dealers on two separate occasions.

Our issues first time around where as follows;

Low EV range (24 miles tops)
Preheater using battery even when plugged in and fully charged
Unstable rocking when driving
Faulty radio, having to reset every time we got in the car
Low 12v battery message constantly
Wireless charger faulty
Not locking when walking away
Charging stopping when only half full
Facial recognition not working
Seat and steering wheel not moving for ease of access.

These were all “fixed” by the dealer after just a few days of ownership with lots and lots of updates, only to reappear a few days later.

2nd time around, included the return of all of the above as well as a very heavy vibration from the electric motors when reversing.
The car was returned to the dealership, who to be fair were fantastic throughout and a little embarrassed by the product to be honest.
They witnessed the issues including the vibrations / juddering and had to video them in order to evidence for Mazda.

After a week of waiting I rang for an update only to be told that they where aware of the issues, but where unsure what they were or how to cure them.

As we were on day 28 (Friday) of the 30 day no quibbles return policy, we emailed to notify that we were rejecting the vehicle.
We didn’t want to wait until Monday as it may have complicated things being day 31.

On the Monday, we were called by the manager of the dealership who apologised profusely and accepted our rejection.

Our funds have been returned today after lots of back and forth between the Complaints Department and management, who have to deal with the rejection to ensure legal compliance apparently.
We had to complete a form twice with the bank and personal details as well as reconfirm over the phone before they released the funds, as it was such a large sum.

Initially we were gutted as we really loved the car, but yesterday we got messages through the app, as we were still linked to the car, and the message was in a huge red box stating. “Critical Malfunction of Braking System”. “Stop immediately , Do not drive and contact your nearest dealer”

Our gutted feelings have now changed to a sense of relief that we may have dodged a bullet.

We are on the way to out local Lexus dealer to place an order on the NX450h+ as we speak.
Would love to know what your delivery time on the Lexus will be - I looked in to them as well but never got that far as my wife didn’t like the way it looked.

I was told by the dealer that it was initially around a 12 month wait but Lexus announced in late January that they are to ramp up production and can expect delivery around Sept this year, but it could be quicker if my specification becomes available due to cancellation etc.
A gentleman who was collecting his NX450h+ that we spoke with, ordered his in Jan this year had experienced just that.

Apparently, Lexus are not allowing dealerships to keep stock and cancelled orders go back into the system and allocated to the next customer who has ordered the same spec.

That being said, Im not in any rush, if it takes a year or so I’m fine with that as there are small upgrades being introduced from spring 2023.

Hi!
Is it possible to set the AC charge to 100%? (in this case, 100% is not realistic to protect the battery) Does it reduce the life of the battery?

Another problem is that a noise can be heard from the trunk on the wrong road, the cause of which is unknown. The shock absorbers have already been replaced, the doors are insulated, the left rear door lock was replaced under warranty due to a defect.
Phone charger not working.
The rear-view mirror will be replaced later.

Many thanks!

After weeks of "silent " running, the dreaded throbbing a 30-45 MPH has hit me. Not every day but some days I can feel it in the wheel. Its in EV,ICE, accel, cruise speed or deceleration. Before I go in "again" has anyone actually had it fixed?
Nope, there is no official fix to date. There was two attempts that were "official" to fix my car but neither worked.

Yes, I checked, everything is in place. Regardless, a plastic rattle can sometimes be heard from the right front wheel.

In connection with charging the phone, the dealer only promised a software update, there will be no replacement, and the charging is not large-capacity if it works.

Did you check if both(!) Tow hooks are in the storage compartment in the trunk? Sometimes one falls out of sight below the styrofoam thingy.
Funny that you mentioned this 🤓
There is indeed a trap which is present in the left-side pocket in the trunk/boot.
After removing the foamy thing, one can clearly see where the hidden hole in the bottom of the pocket is.
It is capable of "eating" pretty large things, like 3 cm in diameter (which then keep roaming freely on the steel bottom of the trunk/boot):

I had a look in mine as I still have a bit of a rattle on rough roads. Still think seatbelt slap is favourite but: One tow hook is pressed into the Styrofoam but the other for some reason is loose. I keep my wheelnut box in there, also some walking poles which could contact each other . Now wrapped up in cloths! See how that goes.
The pocket gap is a silly thing to have. Wedged a cloth in there now. Going to source a bag (please make one dear!) to line it.
One thing I noticed; if the Styrofoam is not screwed down tight with the single screw, the back left section is a bit floppy and can hit/vibrate against the boot body. It is a low dull sound and low frequency. I wonder what its resonant frequency is!

Another rattle source (funny what you can find when you look hard) is the rear seat belt connectors. The red release buttons are quite loose and rattle easily if you tap the black case.

Regarding the noise from the trunk, try pressing vertically down at the arrows I have made under the window in the picture, if you get almost the same annoying clicking sound, then I have the solution

First open the tailgate, then remove the cover around the closing hook, once removed loosen the 2 marked bolts, but not completely, then adjust the hook 3-5mm against the bumper, and tighten the bolts, do a test ride but wait to fit the cover, I had to made 5 adjustments before it worked perfectly, in addition the tailgate closes and opens more smoothly.

Thank you! Adjusted the hook as much as I could towards the bumper and no more that annoying sound.

Hi ShaunD
In the short time since I placed my comments I have also rejected my vehicle and now ordered a Volvo. The dealer was most accommodating and like you I felt they are also disappointed with the model and Mazda. I had my vehicle for 4 months and in that time I had numerous issues mainly software. I got talking to another owner recently and was pointed in the direction of the CX 60 owners Facebook page and the outcome is that whilst I thought I had issues it seems mine were nothing. This vehicle has I believe been launched prematurely and is no way fit for market. It is a shame as I really liked the strong design. I don't wish to be disparaging to the many contributors on this forum but given the problems this vehicle is throwing up I cant understand why they have not rejected their vehicles.
Hope the NX delivers what no doubt you had expected from the CX 60.
Like you I am also relived this episode has come to an end.

Frank, its not an uncommon feeling, my dealer has stopped recommending the PHEV completely as they have said its become a full time job managing the issues from the customers who have bought them, and they can't actually fix a lot of them causing further anger and annoyance.

I would have rejected the car too but I wasn't in a position to do so, and now being stuck in the brand with a heavily depreciating asset, I am hoping the deisel model I have coming to exchange for the PHEV will have less issues.

I would have gone for the XC60 but the Ultimate was just too pricey for me, and the lesser models didn't have everything I wanted.
