Driving with my wife, 2 kids and a box on the roof when went skiing - 7,6L /100km with empty baterry, only on petrol because the hotel had only charging places in an underground park8ng with max height 2.00 and mazda with a box is 2.14 :/
Driving alone with no baterry ( full to full tank ) 8,5/100. ( no one screems when turning sport mode on, and having fun with the ride ).

My service is going to replace the wireless charger and regulate the back door not closing properly. I'm goi g to leave the car for a few days so they can also look into the throbbing 50-70 sound and charging stopping problem.
Also noticed the front suspension sound today :( another problem to my list.

But!
Today it was +10C and the " cold reserve" in the battery had let me use 10-15% more, leaving only 15% reserve. I,vr noticed the difference in range, and it made me smile, just a little bit.

Hello Mateusz, Please let us know if the were able to fix the throbbing and charging stop problem. I think a lot of forum members have the same problem and are waiting for solutions, by Mazda in general or by a dealer (with initiative)

Hi all, quick update on my issues so far -

Charging stopping after 15 minutes - this is now fixed, Mazda replaced my 3 pin charger cable.

Pano roof rattle - has been fixed with an entire new panoramic roof.

There was apparently another rattle from the tailgate not closing properly so that's had a new catch and definitely sounds more secure when it closes.

I've had all applicable software updates - hasn't really made a difference to the jumpy gearbox and the car still accelerates by itself on down shifts.

The keyless opening on drivers side worked the entire time it was in with them so nothing has happened on that.

Gesture tailgate now works every time. Nothing replaced but may have been covered in one of the updates.

12v battery warning. There's no fix for.

I can't find the post now but someone mentioned previously their heated seats coming on apparently randomly - this is a menu setting that links heated seats and steering to climate and can be turned on or off.

I still do not understand that Mazda needs to reserve 15% of the battery on top of the 2.8 kw already reserved....at +10c degrees. it does not make any sense... the average temperature in my country is 8,6 c and only above 10 for 5 months of the year....

Hi, I am new to this forum and seeking to know whether anyone has started the process of rejecting their vehicle. I guess most of the contributors are familiar with Consumer Rights Act 2015 here in the UK and have given this some consideration. I am like many of you experiencing many issues with my vehicle mostly of a software nature and of course the battery thread is clearly an issue. Any thoughts would be welcome.

It makes sense if Mazda wants to avoid complaints about the lack of HP available, if needed, or you can't use cabin preheating before takeoff ;)

If that is the case Mazda should state it in the specifications. The problem is that people buy this car thinking they can do there daily commute in EV mode, but they can not. Not due to technical reasons, but due to Mazda not allowing people the option of maximizing the EV range. They should let the customer decide if he wants high performance or long range.

It may also be that with the upcoming SW update, it will be up to the customer to decide what will be prioritized, but all other things being equal, my cx60 will run longer on a charge than my colleague's Kuga, which is also up to 64 km in view.
So I am quite satisfied

Car picked up yesterday from dealers. Went in for suspension creek. Mazda’s temporary solution is red grease around lower control arm joints. Mazda HQ is aware of the issue, which is the main thing. The grease is a temporary solution. The issue is that the control arm bushing is rubbing inside the housing. Good to know they are working in it.

Other than that, they are looking into the antiroll bar rust issue. Still plenty to go at.

Do other hybrid manufacturers allow the end user to choose between range and performance in that manner?

Yes they do, I drive a VW Passast GTE since 2016 (now at almost 300K km) and I can use EV as I wish, down to 0 if needed. It starts by default in EV mode - hope they will implement this also in the CX60 with future updates. I have ordered CX60 and so far expect to receive it in May. Following closely all that is being said on this forum to have a list ready for at delivery of the car, as an upfront checklist for the dealer on eventual problems. Many thanks to all that are posting their experiences and possible solutions.

Today I've sat at the passanger screen with a sound analizing app. At around 50km/h there is a pick at 780Hz and at 60-70km/h at 280Hz. I see them on the app while hearing clearly the sound.
also put a hand as a passanger on the middle console, and the tunnel at the back. For me it vibrates acordingly to the 50-70 sound. And you know whats inside...

After weeks of "silent " running, the dreaded throbbing a 30-45 MPH has hit me. Not every day but some days I can feel it in the wheel. Its in EV,ICE, accel, cruise speed or deceleration. Before I go in "again" has anyone actually had it fixed?
Incidentally a rattle in the back, which I thought was sunroof, or door or tailgate, was much more mundane: the centre seatbelt was slapping the leather seat and the buckle moving against the little stop. Having said that; in my investigation I did think the charge and fuel flaps were fairly loose

Hi Frank,
We have rejected ours after a total nightmare.
We owned the vehicle for 28 days, 14 of which it was back at the dealers on two separate occasions.

Our issues first time around where as follows;

Low EV range (24 miles tops)
Preheater using battery even when plugged in and fully charged
Unstable rocking when driving
Faulty radio, having to reset every time we got in the car
Low 12v battery message constantly
Wireless charger faulty
Not locking when walking away
Charging stopping when only half full
Facial recognition not working
Seat and steering wheel not moving for ease of access.

These were all “fixed” by the dealer after just a few days of ownership with lots and lots of updates, only to reappear a few days later.

2nd time around, included the return of all of the above as well as a very heavy vibration from the electric motors when reversing.
The car was returned to the dealership, who to be fair were fantastic throughout and a little embarrassed by the product to be honest.
They witnessed the issues including the vibrations / juddering and had to video them in order to evidence for Mazda.

After a week of waiting I rang for an update only to be told that they where aware of the issues, but where unsure what they were or how to cure them.

As we were on day 28 (Friday) of the 30 day no quibbles return policy, we emailed to notify that we were rejecting the vehicle.
We didn’t want to wait until Monday as it may have complicated things being day 31.

On the Monday, we were called by the manager of the dealership who apologised profusely and accepted our rejection.

Our funds have been returned today after lots of back and forth between the Complaints Department and management, who have to deal with the rejection to ensure legal compliance apparently.
We had to complete a form twice with the bank and personal details as well as reconfirm over the phone before they released the funds, as it was such a large sum.

Initially we were gutted as we really loved the car, but yesterday we got messages through the app, as we were still linked to the car, and the message was in a huge red box stating. “Critical Malfunction of Braking System”. “Stop immediately , Do not drive and contact your nearest dealer”

Our gutted feelings have now changed to a sense of relief that we may have dodged a bullet.

We are on the way to out local Lexus dealer to place an order on the NX450h+ as we speak.
