Hi all,

Mazda is conducting a Recall on CX-60 and CX-90 Steering Rack.
The issue is cars Steering can become hard to use.
There have been no accidents associated with this issue, however Dealers in US are instructed to renew a Worm Gear Spring with a new modified parts kit.

I assume that the CX-60 will have the same parts to be renewed.

The NEW Parts for CX-90 Steering are...
''Coil Spring Kit'' is Mazda Part Number K1Y0-32-FX8A
which contains new Flange Bolts (2), End Cap,
Spring and Spring Seat plus O Ring and Grease Pack.

This is what is repaired by US Mazda Dealers..

Mazda in UK and Europe and I assume in time Australia/NZ will
contact you personally with a letter informing you of Recall and
what to do.

Please don't flood Dealer Service about this as many may not even know yet and can not do anything UNTIL you get the RECALL letter and Parts kits are made and shipped out, I estimate about 100,000 cars world wide.

RECALL Campaign Number for MME MUK is AR001A
Sorry I don't have production dates yet but for North American made CX-90's dates are end of Dec 2022 to Dec 2023, so I would assume CX-60 would be around a similar time.
As I said Mazda will contact you by Registered Mail on this Recall.

All,

I went to see my new CX-60 today, I am due to collect it tomorrow. A few hours after I left the dealership they called me to tell me they have changed the spring and other components on the steering wheel, as I asked him several days ago about it, to see if it was something they did during build or not.
I will assume he was telling me the truth, he will give me the paperwork when I collect the car. I will also get an exact build date, I believe mine was built in late November/December.

Hi I had my steering (on my CX60) upgraded just before Christmas 2023 and everything was virtually as it should be however I am now beginning to experience a steering problem again which is sticking and you have to keep correcting it. Has anyone else experienced this since having the upgrade fitted? It is so annoying and extremely frustrating. It is not as if it was a cheap car

Same here… it’s not that bad as last time yet. But it starts to stick the same way like last time. First it’s like a small sticking to left and right where the wheel does not return to center position anymore. This will def become worse after some time.
