Not on this subject but US CX-90s are currently getting these latest Recall and many many Software updates.
The TCM Transmission Control Module one a guy said..

""Just wanted to add almost 60miles today and the trans update does masterfully for the former clunky and awkward 1-2 shifts. Purrrrrfections""

As they are the same design this is good news for CX-60 owners.

Are you experiencing no sound from the audio system and/or the audio source cannot be changed ??.
In a way, yes. It occurred twice with my CX-60 that after starting the car, the DAB radio would not play and the channel list would remain empty. One time I could switch to FM and back to DAB in order to fix it. The second time I had to shut down the whole system and start again to fix it.

This reminds me of an annoying bug I had with my previous 2 Mazdas: after making a Carplay phone call, sound from DAB would often not resume. Sometimes it turned out that the system had switched to FM by itself so I had to switch back to DAB. Other times it was still on DAB and I had to switch to FM and back to DAB to get sound back.

The new bug is slightly different but just as annoying. Come on, Mazda.

Hi all. I just updated my UK CX-60 to 14018 (and have the TCU updating as I write this).
Something I had an issue with was getting the new 64gb USB stick to be FAT32. Windows wont allow formatting in the GUI to FAT32 for a drive over 32gb. There is a way around this however - use PowerShell to format to FAT32 with the command format /fs:fat32 d: after that you can do the updates. Just a point to note, PowerShell format takes a VERY long time - if you have a Mac the stick is formatted in seconds (which is what I did and then when in Windows I had to remove the additional hidden directories created by OSX). Alternatively there is free USB formatting software out there - I just didnt want to download additional software for this.

Many thanks goes to @ASH8 for the update files

If you adjust the size to 32gb or less it will allow you to choose Fat32 in windows

Good tips. For someone in IT for 30+ years I do all my firmware updates using smallest and simplest USB2.0 memory sticks I can find.

I usually do the same (lol also been in IT for over 30 years) however I didn’t want to get into using a converter for USB A to USB C just in case it lost contact at a crucial part of sending the file to the car so I ordered this stick from Amazon (works great by the way, but I could have gone for the 32gb version in hind sight)

Being an old school audio enthousiast, I bought a Samsung Type-C 256GB USB stick for both firmware updates and lossless audio storage. It works great with the CX-60. Of course FAT32 has quite some overhead with large disks, but it's plenty of storage anyway. So far works 100% reliably with firmware updates. Btw, I've been a software developer and PC user since the eighties ;-)
