MP3 Player

Does the CX60 have a built in MP3 player. I have tried large and small sticks, Fat32 and other formats. MP3, Wav files. Nothing works.
In the "Source " display USB is dimmed out.
Same in Mazda 2 Hybrid. I see some of you apparently made it work.
I know I can use my phone but I find it odd that its not built in.

The infotainment reads WAVs, FLACS, Mp3's etc from external storage. I use FLACS mostly, but have some MP3 and Wavs and all play fine on a USB C stick.

If the USB is blanked out, it sounds like the USB is not formatted correctly. Fat32 is apparently the correct one for Mazda.

Are all your folders on the stick actual readable folders and not transfers from the likes of iTunes etc?

Have you tried both USB ports? I seem to remember on my PHEV only the second port would recognise the USB stick, for whatever reason that may have been.
Tx for response.
Port: Thought I tried them all but I'll try again
Format: Tried FAT 32 (right caper doing that). Fat64 and the win 10 default. No joy
Readable: Same files that went straight into my phone no problem. Other devices can see them.
I'll have another play today when I get back from Superbikes!
As per Mazda connect manual. USB with maximum of 9999 files. No folders as these will not by read, just files.
USB with (FAT32) format
Maximum file size: 4 GB -1 byte
Maximum volume size: 2 TB (when sector size is 512 bytes)
I have a standard USB drive with USB to USB-C adapter in the car.
It does work fine for me with no problems.

Folders work perfectly fine.

Every one of my albums in in its own folder with the music files inside, all read and viewed - the Entertainment menu even gives you ‘folders’ as an option.

Another inconsistency in the Mazda manual it seems!
Folders work perfectly fine.
Just arranging my USB for the trip to Poland next week, so will give it a go :)

UPDATE

Yep, I can confirm that folders are also read. I just never seen "folder" in the entertainment menu.
Thanks @Southeastern for the tip (y)

Tidal!

Then you can choose Hi-Res Hifi quality streaming, why get a good incar system and then rely on CD quality (or less)

Sorry, already have Spotify :p

But still to be able to stream it from any platform, you need to connect your phone via Bluetooth or Apple/Android Auto.
