Anyone got the windows to roll down or up with the key fob - seen a video that showed 3 presses on unlock then hold unlock on 4th press and all 4 Windows should open but it doesn't seem to work on mine - or am I missing something - or is it another mazda missing feature like not being able to open the car doors from the app

No, but a positive is being able to set the car to auto lock when one walks away, albeit my alarm went off when I went to pay for petrol and my wife dared to move. Leave the key in the car when filling up!

My former Mercedes would lock/unlock from the APP. But was an utter pain in the arse. I was forever receiving security notifications and finding my boot open because the open boot button on the key fob was too sensitive. Its keyless range was ridiculous. I could open/shut it (including boot) from 100 yards. No wonder so many Mercedes keyless relay thefts.

Leave the key in the car..when carjacking is an increasing occurrence? and do it while your wife is in the car? Wow. I appreciate you probably live in a little village somewhere rural, but I still think thats a risky and somewhat silly thing to do.

You simply press the button on the fob to engage the 'pet mode' so it doesn't go off.

It's a good thing in my opinion, if it has that function, you've just given a potential access to your car before you are even near it...and there are many lowlifes that will begin to learn thats a thing on the car, and be waiting.

While having the option may be nice, I am sure Mazda would get the blame if you get car jacked or at the least the contents stolen because of it, possibly why they don't include it.
I can see why the (promoted in hidden secret videos for some Mazdas) four key presses on key fob to open windows and ventilate the car might be a potential benefit in warm locations. But I gather you then can’t shut them in the same manner. Maybe Mazda have now foreseen the security issues of such functionality which have blighted Mercedes (a thieves delight)?

However, I don’t understand what you mean by “it doesn’t open when you approach the car”. I simply walk up to the car, key in pocket, and it will open by pulling the door handle or the boot kicker (hence keyless function). This can be set on/off via vehicle settings/door locks.

The 700 page manual is full of settings that are not 100% intuitive as regards their defaults (or dealer settings). At my PDI, my dealer had turned off a load of stuff I have subsequently re-engaged. For example, my boot kicker had been turned off. When I enquired why, it was because it will shut with a similar gesture and one customer had been hit in the head.

I would not leave the key in the car if I hadn’t also left the wife there SouthEastern. But I now must look up “pet mode” as that’s something I haven’t found, which emphasises my comment about stuff buried deep in the manual.

I think he wants a proximity sensor so it unlocks while you;re walking up to it, but at the end of the day you still have to pull the handle to open the door, so I don't know why it matters tbh.

Also, when you have software updates, some of those updates will cause the Mazda Connect to be reset, which is why some of your functions may change.

Press the bottom button the fob when walking away for 'pet mode' as I call it.

Yes, now found “Pet mode”. I doubt if many owners have worked that out SouthEastern, so an excellent tip. The 700+ page manual is full of hidden gems.

I also agree about software upgrades resetting defaults. After various upgrades, mine had defaulted to the most aggressive I-ActivSense setting, so I thought that particular upgrade aimed at desensitising the safety cameras had introduced a fault that I didn’t previously have. I reduced the sensitivity back to the less aggressive setting and it’s again fine.

Never before with any new car have I experienced so much need to “read the manual”. As I said before, my dealer had turned off the boot kicker function during PDI and I was given the initial impression that Mazda had deleted the feature during manufacture. Lock while connected/charging wasn’t set either, which probably explains why somebody in another thread mentioned concern about how thieves might steal a charging cable. The CX-60 is the second most complicated device I have ever encountered. Only a Nikon DSLR camera has more pages of instructions, although my wife’s Dyson Hair Styler is a close third. Too many “Do nots” make the “Do this” information harder to find.
