Yeah they arranged one Monday via enterprise (Audi a3) so nothing close to a cx60, after complaining they put me in a q3, still a bit snug compared to mine! I spoke to the dealer yesterday and they still don’t know what the fault is, they think it’s likely to be the compressor so 12-16 weeks from time of order. Won’t be putting up with a small car for that long, I have a cx60 for a reason.

Hi all,

16 days in and still none the wiser to what the fault is! After emailing a complaint Mazda, the dealer an asks mazda called me for the first time, technical have requested the dealer checks wiring to the water pump?? Not sure how that relates to the hybrid system? They still believe either water pump or compressor but will check wiring and report back to mazda so likely to be another week or so to get the next step,

will update once I have some information.

24 days in and they still don’t know what the fault is, 9 days ago they were going to check wiring to ac compressor as per Mazda technical advice but still no response, last time the car was started was the 6th! Never experienced such poor communication/ customer care from any other manufacturer, Mazda and the dealership just seem not to care and do not keep customers informed!

hopefully Mazda or the dealership remember there’s a customer involved here and come up some answers.

That’s the next step and mentioned it last week, they are not keen on that idea but that’s tough, just amazed by the lack of customer service, Mazdas response is basically we don’t know so won’t bother / don’t have tk update you and you will just have to wait!

if it is the compressor the dealer has advised it will be approx 16 weeks from time of order!

Just spoke to my dealer and they were helpful. They had an announcement from mazda and have been recalled at 12 today.... they said they had two others come in with similar issues. Something to poss do with the battery not sure.
They said its not necessarily a terrible thing there had been a recall cos that means at least know they what the problem is.
I've still not got a replacement yet cos mazda tried to fob me off with a skoda octavia but now struggling to get something ideal. Waiting on a call back from enterprise. Face palm.

Hi IM not sure where about are yous with the Same car issue that happened to me last night.

We are in Ireland, and we have the Mazda CX-60 4 months now… after only 2 weeks drive , I have started noticing a cracking noise when turning into my driveway, which is a right turn… and from that day our story begins. Our car was in the garage 5 times already, in and out with different issue that the garage seems to not have a clue … they tell us they fix the problem with the cricking noise… but when Indrive back home I can hear the same thing.

After our 3rd visit we have received 2 recall letters on 2 different issues , one of which is a problem with the software. I got the car back and after 2 days I was asked to come and collect the car. I sat in the car , there in the garage , drove 5 metres into the main road, and An engine Malfunction light switched on straight away. I was shocked, I took a picture to have a proof of it and drove back to the garage. Where I was told that the sign was there when they have parked the car so they don’t know why is that, and that I have to leave the car in the garage for an inspection again.

The car stayed in the garage over the weekend as it was Friday afternoon, then on Monday I was asked to come and collect the car as it’s sorted. So I drove the car on Monday back home, the cricking noise still there anyway, but the warning signs not there for the engine Malfunction. On Tuesday I drove the car only 10min then on Wed Evening I had a 30 km drive to my sons football training. I have parked there as I had to wait for him for 3 hours. Being in the car, after an hour I heard a beep and realised that the SOS button on the ceiling of the car has a flashing red light, I didn’t understand why is that as I didn’t press anything. So I didn’t pay attention to it. But 10 min later , I wanted to switch the engine on to charge my phone and that was the moment when I realised that my car has no sign of any electrical connection.

After calling Mazda rescue a guy came at my location, asked me again what happened… after opening the bonnet he saw something suspicious and asked me if I have opened the bonnet before him. I said that I didn’t do anything at all ( I’m a woman, wouldn’t know those things) then the guy told me that it looks like that someone already previously did what he is going to do now. To start the engine with that tool ( which I forgot how it’s called, sorry… but aim sure you know what I mean) .

So I presume in the garage the same thing happened and the mechanics forgot to close that lid that the guy from the rescue find it open. my car was taken to the garage as when he started the car a lot of worming messages appeared on the screen one of which was Hubridsystem malfunction and other . We never had any big issues with our cars before… and thinking that buying a brand new one will make our lives even easier. But wasn’t the case

Just shows what a good dealer should be,
That’s a joke to try and fob of that family! The customer service is shocking, i explained I carry tools etc for work, cover the uk and I’m 6.5 and the response was basically “tough we have kept you mobile”

hope you get sorted soon

Holly shit. I've had Hybrid system failure within a week of picking up the car. Towed to dealer next day, told them it is probably battery coolant pump (saw that on forum), they ordered a new one, came next day, replaced and I got a car back within two working days. I guess I was lucky.

My PHEV car has been ‘golden’ for almost four months, but three days ago I drove 60 miles without problem, got home, and switched the car off. I had forgotten to make a note of the mileage for my records, so switched on again, whilst accidentally depressing both brake and accelerator pedal simultaneously. Inevitably, the ICE issued a roar when the car probably wanted to start in EV, and I got the message “hybrid system malfunction, get vehicle inspected” and the car stopped. I waited a moment, switched back on, and the message cleared. I took it to my Mazda dealer for advice and it has since driven perfectly in the following three days, but as a precaution, my dealer will check it over on Monday.

My dealer has told me that not following start procedures (e.g. instead accidentally hitting the accelerator) probably confused it, but they will hook it up to the computer that will identify if this was real or a phantom alarm. They have seen a few other customer instances of this warning, but the Mazda computer hasn’t ever identified a fault, and the cars have run fine thereafter. In my instance it simply sounds as if it was my error that provoked this warning. Will report more after Monday.

Car been with dealer today. The workshop computer identified that the “hybrid system malfunction, get vehicle inspected“ message did occur just as I had reported, but extensive tests revealed zero faults. The service manager suspects that my huge size 14 feet accidentally depressing both brake and accelerator when starting the car confused it. It has run perfectly for five days since the message. Maybe others have had similar phantom warnings? I did get a complimentary car wash, so there was a positive.

I also had this in the past - both Dash and App Errors!
My dealer checked and couldn’t find any „physical“ defect either.
He said that it was most probably related to the 12V battery issue, that was ultimately „solved“ via a software update. No error since update (12v, or hybrid system malfunction).
