hey Folks,

wondering if you are experiencing the same issues with your cx60? Dealer / Mazda are saying that this is perfectly normal and this "phonic" problem is something that upsets only a small subset of the customers. [for some reasons I cant attach links on my first post, Ill try to do that once the post is published]

On top of this, Im also experiencing a 3 seconds delay when accelerating, basically when I press the pedal full, the car does nothing, after 2-3 seconds she wakes up, shakes the hell out of me, and then accelerates. The Mazda representative said "the way Im driving does not align with the way a German is driving this car". :alien:

Let me know your thoughts and feedback please!

thank you!

I have got rattling noise from transmission (probably flywheel) but not as much as yours. It appears at low speed driving and braking. It' s very annoying and Mazda claim it is normal. But also promise software update in April.

I don't know how much your recording amplified those sounds, but they are horrible in their nature (I at least can't help but associate them to flushing a toilet, LOL).

The shop is refusing, right, I can understand why: Mazda is paying them only once for a given warranty job, but it looks like this job was not exactly correctly performed?
My gearbox (PHEV) doesn't make any discernible noises when shifting its mode of operation (forward/reverse/neutral/park).

cx 60 254hp diesel here! i have flywheel problems after first 2k km.The delear accept to change the flywheel and they see the flywheel has a gap and moves a bit in the bolts.in horizontal plane is normal to move a bit but mine is moving in vertical plane also.they change the flywheel and the sound is changed.now it seems i hear something like an exhaust valve when rpm drops.anyway since i change flywheel (2 month ago at aprox 7000km) i keep mine parked (just to not make this gap again in the flywheel) waiting for the promised gearbox update. The delear explain me they try do make a smooth gear change and minimize the gap between the flyheel and the clutch disk).i hope someone will post here when the update will be live(i was expected in late feb2025) but nothing yet.

whats the production date for your car? When was the flywheel changed? Can you share with me the documents you got from the dealer that states you got a new flywheel? Maybe with that I can convince my dealer that a change is required :(

car is sept 2023 delivery date dec 2023.
dont have document they say is an electronic archive who's going to mazda directly

i am little pissed off because the test drive have this sound ...i told them is a problem at the gearbox..and i hoped was only that car and mine will be ok. when i receive the car was 2km only on dashboard and check immediate if has the noise and don't have as new.but in 2000km started to have.
and even now after the change of flywheel the noise is still there somehow (for sure it is when cold engine start) and goes away when the oil in gearbox is hotter.
if an update will not change this behavior the only one thing is to drive them until the noise is unsupportable.
