CX-70 Engine Malfunction

Hey Everyone!

I'm wondering if anyone has had any similar issues with their CX-70 (non PHEV in my case).

I drove the vehicle for ~10 minutes and sat with the car parked for roughly 10 minutes and out of nowhere felt severe shaking. I initially thought the auto start/stop was disengaging (there is usually a mild jolt when it comes out of autostop) but the hood of the car was shaking and immediately saw "engine malfunction" light come on. I shut the car off and waited about 10 minutes before trying to restart.

The car started again after revving for about 4 seconds (I feel like it normally turns on immediately) and I got the engine malfunction and a vehicle system malfunction light and started to feel mild shaking so I shut the car off again.

Unfortunately had to have the car towed to the dealership. It has less than 3k miles, purchased 7 months ago. I previously had a CX-30 with no issues, so I'm bummed about this.

If anyone has any similar issues and/or thoughts on what could have caused this please let me know. I'm hoping I didn't get a lemon! I'll have to see what the dealership says in the coming days.

Thanks y'all!

Im having issues as well..and I just got my cx70 no hybrid 3 days ago. Wierd engine noises already when driving,a constant a "whirring" sound when applying gas that was not there before the first 2 days.
A heavy mechanical sounds when breaking as well...The shifting sometimes jerky at low speeds...this is a joke......

im really starting to have buyers remorse...
