From Mazda..

The low washer fluid level warning light comes on earlier when compared to former models as a design intention.

The warning light is designed to come on early so that the washer fluid does not run out at a short notice during long-distance driving.

Warning Light comes on when there is approximately 1.0 liter of the washer fluid remaining in this model, compared to 0.5 liters for the previous models.
Total capacity itself is 4.2 liters, which is the same level as previous models when the tank is filled to the spout.

NOTE: The CX-60 introduced the front-engine and rear-wheel-drive layout.
Accordingly, the washer tank shape was changed from a vertical to a horizontal type. This makes it look like there is still fairly enough liquid left if viewed from the spout, even when the warning light comes on (even if the amount of liquid is low).
However, approximately 3 liters should be replenishable when poured to the FULL position, that is, to the edge of the spout.

Agree - the warning light seems to come on very quickly. I was surprised that I could keep on adding fluid even though I could see the level seemed very high - there was fluid visible in the neck but I was still able to put in another 1.5 litres.
Thanks for letting us know about the horizontal shape - I suspect that this makes the sensor more sensitive to my sloping drive.

My only issue with the warning, given the horizontal tank is the darn thing tends to come on when I'm braking and is an unwanted distraction as you come to a junction or roundabout. The clever little in-wiper spray uses a lot more fluid than you expect as well.
