CX-60 Navigation system maps update

Has anyone been able to update the maps for the in-vehicle navigation system? My dealer tells me the Mazda Update Toolbox doesn't work yet with the CX-60, but isn't that strange, when having had the car for almost 5 months? And I suppose in Japan/Asia the car has been on the roads even longer.

It is the same in DK, here the system is still not up and running, but it is supposed to be ready in Q2

I’d just like to be able to take a safety backup of the card.
Until Toolbox is "online", just make a normal backup to your PC, it works if the SD has been used in the car, and therefore locked to WIN.

Sorry tried that. Including a byte by byte copy. Somewhere in the software it encodes the SD card CID.

 It works for me !?

Car just doesn’t recognise the card at all.
What software are you using to clone the card to a new one?
What make is your new SD card?

I use this How to Clone SD Card in Windows 11/10/8/7 (5 Minutes Tutorial) tool, and SanDisk Extreme SD UHS-I Card

Have you actually tried the backed up SD card in the car?

I've tried again, but can't use that software as I have a Mac.

I use solution listed, with no issues.

This is common with all new models and 'Mazda Toolbox App', please remember that Mazda does not actually run or manage the Toolbox App or supplies the Maps, it is Here or NNG.

For those wanting to Clone their SD Card, there are a few things you should do first.
Must wait until your brand New in car SD Card has been actually updated with new Maps (new quarter) by the Toolbox App, I cant disclose what is done but basically the APP does a few changes to the maps encryption, hence once you have the Maps updated you then do a copy and clone it and not before.
Could someone tell me where the SD card is even located?
I haven’t been able to locate it, but maybe I was looking in the wrong place?

Apparently in the centre consol. I was told an update may fix the problem I have of verbal instructions like "take the exit" are eto late.

PS going to try tomorrow. I'll report back.
I can confirm the SD-card is located in the centre console, behind a small rubber "flap" that might be a little tricky to open. It's near the USB C-ports inside the console. I have attached a picture from the NAVI system user guide, the image is "mirrored" compared to my LHD car (steering wheel on the the left side of the car) but other than that it is correct.

See my post with picture above, that should have been a reply to your message.

You're probably right, I have never owned a CX-5. But the picture is taken from the user guide for CX-60. Anyway, the CX-60 has two USB-C ports and no other outlet as you said. But the SD-card slot looks exactly the same and is placed down to the right corner of the compartment, so my main focus was trying to help 'chopperbob' identify it :)

I tried to update my maps today. Very frustrating!
My old version of toolbox was for my CX5. Kept asking for my SD card which was already inserted. After messing about with different ports I uninstalled toolbox and started over.
Still refused to recognize my card even though windows explorer did.
So I gave up. My issue is that voice guidance, especially on roundabouts is always too late. "Take the exit now" when you are almost past it.
Dealer said update the card! Hey Ho!

There is no released card material for CX-60 for now.
