Hi I see a number of people have had this issue where the car often doesn't fully charge but says 'Charging is Complete' when using the 3 pin charge plug. To get the car to fully charge we had to repeatedly restart the charging process by unplugging and re-plugging the charger back into the car. A complete pain in a cold winters night. After about 3 or 4 attempts it would run through the full charge process to 100%. We had this experience at two different houses and across different plug sockets within both garages.

I had the car in my local Mazda last week so that they could see the issue and 'run diagnostics'. We monitored it remotely ourselves using the Mazda App and saw that the same issue occurred when it was in the Mazda garage. So they saw the issue.

I since been told the issue is related to the 3 pin cable and that Mazda are making a change to this cable and they will send me another 3 pin cable when they receive it. Hopefully that will resolve the issue.

I will let the Forum know if it does.

I’ve the same issue with mine, usually once it stops charging I would unplug it let it reset then it would go on to fully charge without issue.

I’ve got a wall charger, and initially thought I had the same issue. Then realised that the MazdaApp automatically sends a notification that my vehicle is fully charged when at merely 95%. However, if I leave it on charge another ten minutes, it will reach 100%. Today, which is a much warmer day than previous, it also reported 30 miles available at 100%, which is my best ever (more typically 28), but I have never got closer to the claimed 39! Maybe it will improve once we see Summer temperatures.

Yes to 100%. But the APP receives a “fully charged” notification at merely 95%. So rather than immediately unplug it, I leave it and it then gets to 100%.
