I'm well into buyers remorse with this car, I wish I had done a 48 test drive- if I had I would never have bought it - its a bit crap - as soon as I'm half way through payments its going - only 103 weeks to go
There's actually very little about the car that works correctly or is designed well - 1st and last dip into Japanese cars for me.

Ok that's exactly what I said.

Thats anti-resonance material, its not sound proofing persay, it just reduces the resonance and flex in the sheet metal, which does do some noise reduction but at a different frequency than the cabin road noise that is the thing we are aiming to reduce.

This is what the doors also have.

As I thought, you dont have the sound proofing done.
Also does anyone know what this is - it was just in the boot View attachment 370
Its a boot separator/guard for pets/dogs.

I presume by asking this you still havent read the forum threads then? :)

Its worth doing so you can educate yourself a fair bit about the car, as many of the issues you've mentioned and are worrying about already have fixes.

The posts are all over the place, it would take an age to read everything, if there was a bugs and fixes thread I would gladly read it - most of the posts about glitches don't refer to my vin number any way - but thanks for your input

Yes it will take a couple of hours sure. Nothing spectacular in the grand scheme of things.

Your VIN is irrelevant mostly, as many of us have found - which you would find out once reading the threads. Maybe you can start a bug and fixes thread if you think it is missing or could be useful? one contributer Ash has always provided service bulletin numbers and recalls.

As Ive stated, the problems I have addressed on your list already have fixes, irrelevant of what your dealer is telling you about a VIN number. Those theories have been quashed many times. Its a dealer led theory that often makes little sense!
3.3 diesel homura
Doors hollow and cheap
Human centric camera doesn't work
Suspension way to hard for an suv
Can't roll windows up or down from fob
Can't unlock doors from app
Radio doesn't cut when reverse sensors come on
No reverse/front sensors on corners so only warns front and back wheels not covered
No wash jet on front or rear camera
Sound from bose system disappointing
Poor cornering even for a suv
Panoramic roof is a con it opens about 6 inches
No keyless on back doors
12v battery warning constantly coming on
Engine cleaning constantly coming on
Had 2 engine warning lights in a week
Interior showing wear after a week
Car is noisy in the cabin
The ambient lighting is invisible

Apart from that it's OK
I think you should be looking for a bmw M sport x3/x5 specs. I am not sure why complaining on the unavailable specs/features after you bought it. It's well listed in the website. If you really needed that, you shouldn't be considering this model in the first place.

I agree with this, I can totally understand frustrations with the ride and the faults as these are things you dont get to know about just from test drives, but the features is easily discovered even before seeing it at a dealer.

I was looking at an X3 M40D yesterday...I just wish it wasn't so blummin ugly as the seats and the ride are like heaven compared to the CX60!

And thus we came to the conclusion that the cx60 is not so bad. The most of the problems were solved by Southeastern :)

Mazda should employ me. I would make this car right :)

Realistically though, you'd need to spend around £10-12k for a Q5 Vorsprung or BMW X3 M40D , more considering the discounts on the CX60, around £13-15k realistically, so you have to work out if its worth it to you.

For me, I wouldnt buy the CX60 again either and would buy a used one of the above instead. However, the depreciaition on these cars is so huge, I am stuck with it now, so have to make the best of it.
It's not the best time to get any car at the moment. Depreciation is going to affect every models. I can see Volvo giving £10k-£15k discounts on 2023 Ultimate variant XC40(£35k) and XC60(£40k) models. This will bring down the used market values. I did see some used Q5 72 registration at around 5000 miles for £39-£45k. Not many people are buying new ones at the moment due to inflation and market is flooding with newer models.

It hasnt been for a couple of years. The Q5 Vorsprung they are still selling at 55-60k for 1-2 year old..thats going to drop heavily when the new one appears early next year.

Ive head Volve offering these discounts on the XC60 Ultimate, I just wish it wasnt a bit of an old mans car :)

The new Alfa Stelvio Competizone is sublime, but again with a £60k price tag and getting discounts out of Alfa dealers is like trying to separate an Italian from their espresso.

yes, the ride is fantastic on that one. I don't know how Mazda compares their CX60 to an X3 even for marketing. It's not close with the ride quality and this is evidently hitting back Mazda.

Is it the removable dog net that can separate front seats from enlarged boot space? As I don’t have a dog, so it’s in my garage. Will probably be forgotten when I eventually sell the car!

Are there any instructions for assembling it? Being a dog owner I’d like to see what it looks like all set up but not making head nor tail of the rods and net at the moment!

I can totally sympathise with you, and this too will be my first and last Mazda.
For me the CX-60 is a pig in a poke, that said I have accepted what I have, rectified the issues that have come up. Alas more do keep appearing.
Must say that my local dealer has been excellent and far better than the Audi,BMW and Mercedes dealers I've had before them.

I had a mx5 back in the day (when I could fit in one) and that was great - the cx60 I think was rushed to the market way before it was tested I also think that the systems design wasn't intended for a European market - I will try and sort what I can and as soon as I'm 2 years into my 4 year pcp it's getting handed back to them and me and mazda will part company forever.
I agree with you about the dealers, they have been great so far, much better than audi dealers for instance, I just hope it continues.
